Cyberattack continues to impact operations at Berlin Airport in Germany.
On September 28th, local time, more than a week after an external service provider suffered a cyber attack, the information system of Berlin Brandenburg Airport in Germany still has not returned to normal, causing continued delays and cancellations for passengers. According to the airport authorities, the airport is still operating under "special circumstances," and the related IT systems have not been repaired since the cyber attack on the 19th. As of noon on the 28th, 8 incoming flights and 6 outgoing flights have been cancelled. The airport originally planned to operate around 600 flights on that day, transporting 88,000 passengers. The airport spokesperson stated that there is no definite timeline for full system recovery, and repairs are expected to take several more days.
