Market Supervision Administration: Not allowed for catering chain headquarters to only collect money without taking responsibility.
Recently, the State Administration for Market Regulation issued the "Regulations on the Supervision and Management of Food Safety Main Responsibilities of Chain Catering Enterprises". At a press conference on September 28, Sun Huichuan, the director of food safety at the State Administration for Market Regulation, stated that the "Regulations" specifically outline the food safety management responsibilities that chain catering enterprise headquarters must assume and implement, focusing on addressing the issue of some chain catering enterprise headquarters being "lenient or neglectful in managing their stores". The "Regulations" stipulate that enterprise headquarters are responsible for food safety management throughout the entire chain, and must allocate a certain amount of revenue each year for food safety management. They must also take responsibility for food safety issues resulting from insufficient funding. Chain catering headquarters are strictly prohibited from only collecting money without taking on food safety responsibilities.
