Today, the State Council Information Office held a press conference to announce that this year's Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day holidays will last a total of 8 days. The public will mainly travel for tourism and to visit family, with an estimated total of 2.36 billion people expected to travel across regions, averaging about 295 million people per day. This represents an increase of approximately 3.2% compared to the same period last year. The flow of passengers at the beginning and end of the holidays will be relatively concentrated. It is expected that the day before the holidays, there will be a significant increase in passenger flow, with the peak outgoing passenger flow expected to occur on October 1st, possibly reaching over 340 million people, breaking historical records.
