Xiamen: By 2027, there will be 30 hydrogen equipment and materials production enterprises.

Recently, the Xiamen Development and Reform Commission officially issued the "Xiamen Hydrogen Energy Industry High-Quality Development Action Plan". The plan specifies the development goals of Xiamen's hydrogen energy industry. In terms of technological innovation, Xiamen will focus on achieving core technological breakthroughs in areas such as electrolysis hydrogen production equipment, solid-state hydrogen storage materials and equipment, hydrogen fuel cell complete equipment, and hydrogen-powered vehicles, forming a batch of technology achievements with independent intellectual property rights, striving to create national-level scientific and technological innovation platforms, and maintaining international leadership in core technologies. In terms of industrial cultivation, Xiamen actively encourages and nurtures leading companies, plans to build hydrogen energy industrial parks, promotes the integration of hydrogen energy industry in production, storage, transportation, and utilization, promotes the localization of key technological equipment and components, and encourages exports. By 2027, the number of hydrogen energy equipment and material production companies is expected to reach 30. In terms of demonstration applications, Xiamen will establish infrastructure management mechanisms, expand diversified application scenarios, aim to open a hydrogen fuel cell car demonstration route by 2027, build 3 hydrogen refueling stations, and explore the characteristic application of green hydrogen in industries such as energy storage.
