On the 27th, at the 2025 World New Energy Vehicle Conference, Wan Gang, Chairman of the China Association for Science and Technology and Chairman of the World New Energy Vehicle Conference, stated, "To achieve Level 3 and Level 4 autonomous driving, we need the support of intelligent roads and cloud computing technology platforms. Specifically, it is necessary to upload the situations and handling methods encountered by the car during the driving process to the cloud platform for large-scale model training, and then feed back the upgraded capabilities to the car end, forming a closed-loop from the car end to the cloud end, in order to truly improve the autonomous driving ability." In Wan Gang's view, the core premise of autonomous driving is safety, which must be based on high-quality scenario data, efficient computing power deployment, and systematic testing and verification. Through training of large-scale autonomous driving models and testing of typical scenarios, cars will be able to drive smoothly in complex traffic environments. For example, even in the event of a malfunctioning traffic signal, they will still adhere to driving rules.
