As National Day and Mid-Autumn Festival approach, in order to consolidate and expand the results of studying and implementing the spirit of the Central Eight-point Regulations, the General Office of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection recently issued a notice on strictly implementing the spirit of the Central Eight-point Regulations and cracking down on the "four winds" during the National Day and Mid-Autumn Festival. The notice emphasizes the need to strengthen the primary responsibility, promote a deep understanding at all levels of party organizations that the Central Eight-point Regulations are a crucial measure taken by the Party Central Committee to build trust, uphold principles without compromise, firmly eliminate the misconception of passing inspection immediately after the end of education, and to not relax efforts in building a better work style. It urges leaders at all levels and leading cadres, especially the top leaders, to strictly discipline themselves, fulfill their responsibilities with strictness, and ensure the strict implementation of the spirit of the Central Eight-point Regulations. The notice requires a close watch on easily occurring problems during the holidays, resolutely correcting violations such as receiving mooncakes, gift cards, and other gifts, unauthorized eating and drinking in residential areas, internal canteens, private clubs, etc., unauthorized organizing of wedding, funeral, and other celebrations, and engaging in tourist and entertainment activities that may affect the impartial execution of official duties. It focuses on correcting cases of inaction or misconduct in serving and safeguarding the normal production and life of business entities and the people. The notice emphasizes strict discipline supervision, targeting current violations and typical cases, digging deep into hidden and emerging issues, promptly investigating and punishing violations committed against the wind, and holding accountable those responsible for serious consequences, both directly and in leadership positions. It upholds the principle of holding accountable for irresponsibility and ensuring rigorous accountability, seriously addressing regions and units where there are prominent issues related to work style building and the "four winds". The notice also calls for promoting a new sense of integrity, passing on excellent traditional Chinese culture, advocating for integrity, frugality, and hard work, and creating a clean and positive atmosphere for the holidays.
