Fengyun-3H satellite successfully launched, will achieve the first global high-precision greenhouse gas detection with a width of one hundred kilometers.
At 3:28 on September 27th, the Long March 4B carrier rocket was launched at the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center, successfully placing the Fengyun-3H satellite into the planned orbit. This launch mission was a complete success. Both the satellite and the rocket for this mission were developed by the China Academy of Aerospace Eight Institute. Fengyun-3H is the 22nd Fengyun meteorological satellite successfully launched by China, the 8th satellite of the second generation low-orbit meteorological satellite Fengyun-3, mainly used for weather forecasting, atmospheric chemistry, and climate change monitoring. The satellite operates in a sun-synchronous orbit, carrying nine remote sensing instruments including medium-resolution spectral imaging, infrared hyperspectral atmospheric detection, and microwave temperature sensors. It will achieve high-precision global greenhouse gas detection with a hundred kilometer swath for the first time internationally.
