Financial news app Zhtng Cijng learned that the Swiss government officially proposed on Friday to give the Swiss banking industry leader UBS Group AG seven years to fully comply with higher-level capital requirements, confirming previous guidelines. However, it should be noted that the "7-year transition period" is only a draft released by the federal government + the start of formal solicitation, and is not yet effective regulation. The final decision still needs to be reviewed by the parliament and may not be implemented until at least 2028; during this period, there is also uncertainty regarding possible referendums, with UBS publicly opposing and lobbying the Swiss government to "lower capital requirements."
