From January to August, there were 320,000 imported cars, a 33% year-on-year decrease, which is a significant decline in the January to August period. After reaching a peak of 1.43 million imported cars in 2014, import growth began to decline, with slight stabilization and improvement in 2016-2017. Since 2018, imports have been continuously declining. In 2023, total imports sharply decreased, with only 800,000 units imported for the entire year, a 10% year-on-year decrease. In 2024, imports continued to decrease sharply, with only 700,000 units imported for the entire year, a 12% year-on-year decrease. Currently, from January to August 2025, there have been 320,000 imported cars, a 33% year-on-year decrease, indicating significant pressure on the continued contraction of imported cars.
