The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and 6 other departments have issued the "Work Plan for Stable Growth in the Petrochemical Industry (2025-2026)". It proposes expanding international cooperation space, actively responding to changes in the international trade environment, and continuously implementing measures to stabilize foreign trade policies, guiding and helping enterprises to deal with unreasonable trade restrictions abroad. It also emphasizes using free trade agreements such as the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership to participate deeply in the high-quality construction of the Belt and Road Initiative, and actively explore new markets and expand export channels for petrochemical products. It also calls for strengthening service guarantees for foreign investment projects, encouraging foreign-funded enterprises to establish R&D centers in China, strengthening cooperation in fine chemicals, green low-carbon, artificial intelligence and other fields with joint ventures, and supporting industry associations in enhancing research on international trade rules and trade trends, deepening communication and exchange with relevant countries and industry organizations to help chemical enterprises improve their overseas business compliance and sustainable development capabilities. Furthermore, it stresses actively participating in international convention negotiations, actively participating in the formulation of international standards and rules, and encouraging the international development of third-party certification bodies to improve and internationalize the standard system and product certification system in line with international standards.
