The case of Liu Jian, former party secretary of Guizhou Provincial People's Hospital, for bribery was opened for trial.

The People's Procuratorate of Liupanshui City accused that from 2011 to 2024, the defendant Liu Jian, who served as the vice president and president of the former Guiyang Medical College Affiliated Hospital, the vice president of Guizhou Medical University, and the president and party secretary of Guizhou Provincial People's Hospital, used his convenience in his positions to provide assistance to individuals and units in drug sales distribution, medical project contracting, etc., and directly or through others illegally accepted a total of more than 42.26 million yuan equivalent in gifts and money from individuals and units, some of which were not actually obtained. The procuratorial organ recommends that Liu Jian be held criminally responsible for the crime of bribery. The court announced that the sentencing would be announced at a later date.
