According to the news from the Chongqing Municipal Development and Reform Commission on September 25, the Chongqing Municipal Development and Reform Commission has taken the lead in researching and drafting the "Several Policy Measures to Support the High-quality Development of the Electric Vehicle Battery Recycling Industry". It is now open to the public for comments. The draft for comments proposes to promote electric vehicle battery manufacturers and new energy vehicle manufacturers to build, jointly build, or commission the construction of recycling service points in accordance with relevant policies and standards. Fully utilize the existing recycling network for secondary resources, guide existing recycling points to expand their business to include the recycling of used lithium batteries from power batteries and electric bikes. Encourage companies to build large regional recycling and utilization centers with functions such as recycling storage and comprehensive utilization, achieving one-stop recycling and utilization of power batteries with a short chain and few links. By 2027, the coverage rate of the power battery recycling network in districts and counties will reach 90%.
