Dalio issues a harsh warning on the economic prospects of the United States and Britain: "We are heading towards a very, very dark period."
Bridgewater Associates founder Ray Dalio recently issued a stern warning about the future of the United States and the United Kingdom, stating that he is not optimistic about the development trajectory of these two countries and believes that "we are heading towards a very, very dark period." Dalio explained on his "CEO Diary" podcast: "The UK has fiscal problems, the government has debt problems," and due to the huge wealth and opportunity gap, society is experiencing deep divisions between the left and right, leading people to lose trust in the system. The UK also lacks the innovative culture and strong capital markets of the United States, further hindering its prospects. Dalio is equally pessimistic about the future of the United States, pointing out serious debt issues and dangerous polarization in its internal political landscape due to differences in wealth and values, putting its system at risk. Additionally, Dalio believes that the United States is facing a technological war that will determine the future world order. "The winner of the technological war will win all wars," Dalio said.
