Venezuela launches military operation in the northeast.

Venezuela's Minister of Defense Lopez announced on the 21st that the "Kumanagoto 200" military operation would be carried out in the northeastern Sucre state of the country. Sucre state shares a maritime border with the Caribbean island nation of Trinidad and Tobago. Lopez stated that a large amount of fuel, weapons, ammunition, and other smuggling activities come from Trinidad and Tobago, and this military operation will involve multiple branches of the military conducting live-fire exercises along the coast of the state, as well as clearing out criminal gangs and drug trafficking organizations in the area.
