Journalists learned today that the General Administration of Market Supervision has issued a new national standard for "multi-functional electrical appliances for household and similar suspended ceilings," which will be officially implemented on March 1, 2026. The implementation of this standard will guide industry enterprises to improve the standardization level of product design, production, and installation, and promote the development of multi-functional electrical appliances for suspended ceilings towards a safer, more reliable, and more adaptable to diverse home environments. This revision mainly makes three optimizations and improvements. First, upgrade functional performance requirements. Considering the diversity of functions of multi-functional electrical appliances for suspended ceilings, the performance requirements and test methods for each single function such as ventilation, drying, refrigeration, heating, and auxiliary lighting are improved to basically cover different types and functions of products on the market. Second, strengthen multi-scene adaptability. For special environments such as kitchens, balconies, and bathrooms, new product requirements and test methods specifically for these environments are added to ensure that products can be used safely and reliably in different scenarios. Third, standardize installation and inspection procedures. Refine the requirements for installation accessories such as keels and hangers, improve safety inspection operating procedures, and specify specific installation strength inspection methods for the main units of appliances and the masks of appliances with different weights according to different installation methods, ensuring that the installation process is assessable and traceable.
