Zhtng Cijng APP News, China Oil Clean Energy Holdings (01759.HK) announced that the Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) issued a statement on September 19, 2025 (SFC Statement). The SFC Statement stated that the SFC has initiated legal proceedings to seek disqualification orders against four former directors of China Oil International Energy Holdings Limited (formerly known as China Oil Harbour Energy Group Holdings Limited, China Oil Harbour Energy), including Dr. Zheng Jianpeng, an independent non-executive director of the Company (during the relevant period, he was an executive director, chief financial officer and company secretary of China Oil Harbour Energy). When seeking the disqualification orders, the SFC alleged that these former directors failed to properly supervise the Company's main operating subsidiary in China, and did not act in the best interests of the Company. Their long-term lack of supervision led to the exclusion of these operating subsidiaries from the consolidated financial statements and resulted in significant financial losses.
