Xinhua News Agency learned from relevant departments in Xishui County, Zunyi City, Guizhou Province that a suspected food poisoning incident occurred in Xishui County recently. As of September 21, it has caused multiple people, including children, to be hospitalized for treatment. It is understood that the hospitalized individuals had eaten sandwiches produced by "Xishui County Make Me Happy Food Factory" and experienced symptoms such as abnormal liver and kidney function. The food factory has a total of 8 self-operated stores in Xishui County, and a total of 208 sandwiches from the same batch were sold, with 29 recalled urgently and actually sold 179. Currently, most of the patients are receiving treatment at Xishui County People's Hospital, and some patients have been transferred to hospitals in Zunyi City, Chongqing City, and other places for treatment. The relevant departments of Xishui County stated that the implicated stores have suspended operations, and work such as patient treatment, investigation, and sample testing is underway.
