In August 2025, China, the United States, the European Union, Japan, the United Kingdom, Australia, South Korea, Canada, and New Zealand implemented 327 car recalls, involving a total of 3.316 million vehicles. The recalls were mainly for instrument panels, lighting, and accessories with 67 recalls, followed by 45 recalls each for body and interior, and brake systems. Airbags and seat belts were recalled 40 times, accounting for 20.49%, 13.76%, and 12.23% of the total recalls respectively.
