Reporters learned from the Ministry of Water Resources that on the 18th, the Ministry of Water Resources initiated a Level IV emergency response for flood control in the provinces of Hubei, Chongqing, Sichuan, and Shaanxi. Two working groups were dispatched to Sichuan and Shaanxi to guide flood control efforts.
