Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella announced on social media the establishment of the most powerful artificial intelligence data center in the world, located in the southeastern part of Wisconsin. Fairwater is a seamless cluster consisting of hundreds of thousands of NVIDIA gb200s, connected by enough optical fiber to wrap around the Earth 4.5 times. Its performance will be 10 times faster than the fastest supercomputer in the world today, enabling artificial intelligence training and inference workloads to reach unprecedented levels.
