Panasonic Energy announced that it will focus on producing all-solid-state batteries.

On September 18th, Panasonic Energy Corporation, a subsidiary of Panasonic Corporation, announced that they will be dedicated to producing "solid-state batteries", which are considered as the next generation of popular battery candidates. Compared to lithium-ion batteries, solid-state batteries have a lower risk of catching fire and can operate in high-temperature environments. Panasonic Energy plans to utilize these features for industrial machinery and aims to achieve sample shipment by the fiscal year 2026.
