The Secretary-General of the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, Cui Dongshu, stated in a document that by 2025, the overall situation of new energy commercial vehicles will rapidly improve. From March to August, the sales remained at a high level, with strong growth in new energy vehicles. In August 2025, the sales of new energy vehicles quickly reached a high of 73,600 units, indicating strong demand for new energy vehicles. In 2024, the sales of new energy commercial vehicles reached 579,000 units, an 84% increase year-on-year. In August 2025, the sales reached 73,600 units, a 46% increase year-on-year and a 3% increase month-on-month. After the policy peak in late 2024, the performance of new energy vehicles was relatively weak in January 2025, but saw a sharp increase from February to August, reaching a cumulative total of 500,000 units in the first eight months, a 55% increase year-on-year.
