Meta is expected to launch its first consumer smart glasses with a built-in display screen this Wednesday to continue the momentum of its Ray-Ban series. The Ray-Ban series has been a hot consumer trend in the early days of the artificial intelligence era. Analysts suggest that these new glasses may be named "Celeste" and come with Meta's first gesture control wristband. However, the expected price of $800 may deter some buyers. Reports suggest that these glasses may bear the Prada stamp. The event is scheduled to start at 5 pm Pacific Time (8 pm Eastern Time). These glasses are expected to feature a small digital display screen on the right lens for basic tasks like notifications and also include functionalities found in existing Ray-Ban and Oakley smart glasses such as AI assistants, cameras, hands-free controls, and live streaming to social media platforms including Instagram.
