The Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Carrie Lam, delivered a new policy address at the Legislative Council of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region today. Lam stated that Hong Kong has 1,180 kilometers of coastline and 263 islands, which gives it an advantage to become a hub for yachting in Asia. Hong Kong will optimize the supporting industries for the yachting industry and promote high-end yacht tourism. In addition, the SAR government will promote the construction of a yacht free travel system between Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao, and discuss with the Guangdong provincial government convenient measures for "yachts from Hong Kong heading north" and "yachts from the north heading south".
