The Chief Executive of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Carrie Lam, delivered a new policy address at the Legislative Council today. Lam stated that they are actively expanding their sources of goods and promoting the multimodal transport of goods from mainland inland provinces and cities to international markets through rail, sea, land, and river routes via Hong Kong. Lam pointed out that currently, goods from Chongqing and Chengdu have already been transported via rail-sea transport, through Shenzhen Yantian Port or the Beibu Gulf in Guangxi, and then transferred to Kwai Chung Port by feeder vessels or "daily liner" services, fully leveraging the complementary advantages between ports and achieving mutual benefits.
