YouTube has paid more than $100 billion to creators in the past four years.

YouTube has announced that since 2021, they have paid out over $100 billion to creators, artists, and media companies, largely due to the growth in the number of connected TV viewers. The number of YouTube channels earning over $100,000 from TV screen revenue has increased by 45% annually. Additionally, the company has introduced new artificial intelligence tools for its short video product, YouTube Shorts, allowing creators to use AI to transform raw footage into edited video clips with added music, transitions, and voiceovers.
