Report: OpenAI has hired former xAI Chief Financial Officer Mike Liberatore.

According to media reports, OpenAI has hired former xAI Chief Financial Officer Mike Liberatore as the business finance lead for the artificial intelligence startup, responsible for overseeing its large infrastructure expenses. An OpenAI spokesperson said Liberatore officially started on Tuesday. He will report to CFO Sarah Friar and work with Greg Brockman's team, which is responsible for managing the contracts and capital behind OpenAI's computing strategy. Liberatore has also updated this job on his LinkedIn profile.
