Canalys: In the second quarter of 2025, the PC market in India saw a year-on-year growth of 6%, with Lenovo experiencing the largest increase and Xiaomi's tablets rising to third place.
Research institution Canalys released data today showing that in the second quarter of 2025, the PC market in India grew by 6% year-on-year, with shipments reaching 3.6 million units. Due to the growth in enterprise demand and preference for AI devices, laptops were the main driver of growth, with shipments increasing by 8% to 2.7 million units. Desktop shipments remained stable, with a slight increase of 1% to 861,000 units. HP ranked first in the Indian PC market in the second quarter of 2025, with a 30.2% market share and a 0.2% year-on-year growth in shipments. Lenovo ranked second with a 19.9% market share and a significant year-on-year increase of 19.3% in shipments. In terms of tablet shipments, Samsung, Apple, and Xiaomi ranked in the top three. In the second quarter of 2025, Samsung saw a 40.7% year-on-year decrease in shipments, Apple saw a 41.1% year-on-year growth, and Xiaomi saw a significant increase of 71.9% year-on-year. Xiaomi surpassed Lenovo and moved into third place in the tablet market in the second quarter.
