US electronics manufacturer Whirlpool claims that its overseas competitors may be avoiding US tariffs by underreporting the value of imported goods. Whirlpool said it will cross-reference relevant data with its knowledge of competitors' production facilities to identify companies that may be underreporting the value of imported goods. These companies include Samsung, LG, and General Electric Appliances. Samsung refused to comment on the accusation. LG stated that it is committed to complying with all US laws. General Electric Appliances said that the accusations are not accurate.
