CFR: improve suitability management mechanism to address the issue of financial product and consumer mismatch.
Deputy Director Fu Wanjun of the China Banking and Insurance Regulatory Commission stated at the launching ceremony of the "2025 Financial Education Promotion Week" that the next step will be to strengthen regulatory supervision on behaviors, and continue to push for financial institutions to fulfill consumer protection responsibilities. Specifically, this will involve: firstly, improving appropriateness management mechanisms to address the issue of matching financial products with consumers; secondly, establishing marketing management mechanisms to enhance the regulation of marketing behaviors of financial institutions; and thirdly, establishing dispute resolution mechanisms focusing on prevention, mediation, and grassroots efforts to promote timely resolution of conflicts.
