In the first 8 months, the foreign trade import and export of Jiangsu Province increased by 5.1% compared to the same period last year.

According to statistics from Nanjing Customs, in the first 8 months of this year, the total value of imports and exports in Jiangsu Province reached 3.82 trillion yuan, accounting for 12.9% of the total national imports and exports during the same period, an increase of 5.1% compared to the same period last year, with a growth rate 1.6 percentage points higher than the national average. Of this, exports were 2.55 trillion yuan, an increase of 9%; imports were 1.27 trillion yuan, a decrease of 2%. The export of the "new three items" saw double-digit growth. In the first 8 months, the export of electromechanical products in Jiangsu Province reached 1.77 trillion yuan, an increase of 10.6%, driving the province's overall export growth by 7.2 percentage points, accounting for 69.3% of the total export value of the province. Ship exports amounted to 89.1 billion yuan, an increase of 28.6%; the export of "new three items" products was 121.45 billion yuan, an increase of 10.6%.
