Rhine Metal will acquire Lurssen naval shipbuilding business.

On September 14th, Rheinmetall announced that it had reached an agreement with the German shipbuilding group Luerssen to acquire the latter's naval shipbuilding business. The transaction is currently awaiting antitrust approval and is expected to be completed in early 2026. The specific financial terms were not disclosed.
