On September 11th, the 2025 National Food Safety Awareness Week with the theme "Virtue and Law-abiding, Sharing Food Safety" was officially launched in Beijing. It was learned from the launching ceremony that in recent years, Beijing has regarded food safety as a major political task and an important people's livelihood project, building a complete chain supervision mechanism from the farmland to the dining table, from outside Beijing to inside Beijing, to make the people's dining tables in the capital safer and more trustworthy. In terms of supervision methods, the city has implemented "Beijing Agricultural Safety Treasure" mini program to carry out intelligent supervision with "one household, one code", with each production entity having a unique code. The full information traceability of agricultural products from planting to market has truly bridged the gap in the "last mile" of agricultural safety supervision. This innovative experience has been promoted nationwide. In response to the safety risks of edible agricultural products, Beijing has also regularly carried out special actions to tackle the stubborn problems of drug residues in key varieties, comprehensively carried out quality and safety traceability of edible forest products, and achieved full coverage of traceability systems for major edible forest products such as cherries and apples, strengthening the "safety line" from the field to the shelf.
