Fujian Mercedes-Benz Automobile Co., Ltd. recalls some imported Viano and Vito vehicles.

Recently, Fujian Mercedes-Benz Automobile Co., Ltd. filed a recall plan with the State Administration for Market Regulation in accordance with the requirements of the "Regulations on the Management of Recalls of Defective Automobile Products" and the "Implementation Measures for the Regulations on the Management of Recalls of Defective Automobile Products". Recall number S2025M0140V: Starting from September 30, 2025, a total of 1107 imported Viano and Vito vehicles produced between February 4, 2004 and December 13, 2005 will be recalled. Some of the vehicles within the scope of this recall may have had their driver's front airbag replaced with an airbag equipped with an ammonium nitrate gas generator produced by Takata without a desiccant. After prolonged use of the vehicle, if the driver's front airbag is triggered to deploy in a collision, the gas generator may abnormally rupture, causing fragments to fly out and potentially injure occupants, posing a safety hazard. Fujian Mercedes-Benz Automobile Co., Ltd. will conduct free inspections and replace the improved driver's front airbags based on inspection results through authorized Mercedes-Benz dealerships to eliminate the safety hazard for vehicles within the recall scope.
