After 60 years, direct flights between the capitals of Pakistan and Iran have been restored.

On September 12th, it was reported that flights between the capitals of Pakistan, Islamabad, and Iran, Tehran, which had been suspended for 60 years, have been resumed. Iran Air will operate one flight per week on Tuesdays. The inaugural flight ceremony for the resumption of direct flights took place on September 11th at Islamabad International Airport, with numerous guests from Pakistan and Iran attending the ceremony.
