Guangdong: The second phase of the Guangdong East Water Resources Optimal Allocation Project has achieved full line breakthrough for the tunnels.

On the 12th, the second phase tunnel of the Guangdong East Water Resources Optimization and Allocation Project, with a total investment of 10.1 billion yuan, was completely connected. The project is expected to start supplying water in 2026, providing an average annual increase of 311 million cubic meters of water for more than 8.5 million people, including Shantou and two other cities.
