Amid escalating anger over Israel's military actions in Gaza and this week's airstrikes on Qatar in the Gulf region, Israeli arms manufacturers have been banned from participating in one of the world's largest air shows, the Dubai Airshow, held in the United Arab Emirates. According to a senior official, the organizers of the Dubai Airshow, scheduled for November, have sent letters to a few Israeli companies informing them that they are not allowed to exhibit this year. The official stated that the letter, dated September 9th, cited "lack of professional qualifications" as the reason, but the official added that the organizers had informally indicated their intention to ban Israel from participating in the event. The Israeli Ministry of Defense stated that they have received notice from the airshow organizers, but did not provide any further details.
