Today, it was learned from the launching ceremony of the National Food Safety Promotion Week that this year, market supervision departments at all levels have focused on strengthening the primary responsibility for food safety in schools. They have particularly targeted key issues such as lax ingredient acceptance, non-standard processing operations, unsanitary back kitchens, and inadequate "three prevention" facilities. They have been working hard to push schools and operators to fulfill their responsibilities for food safety. A total of 353,700 inspections have been conducted at school canteens, contracted catering enterprises, and off-campus catering units, identifying and urging the correction of 262,000 hidden problems. 7,012 illegal cases have been investigated and dealt with. At the same time, in collaboration with the education departments, the coverage rate of "Internet + transparent kitchen" in school canteens nationwide has reached 98.5%, forming a governance pattern where industry regulators, department supervision, and teachers, students, and parents all participate in oversight. The level of food safety assurance in schools has been significantly improved.
