Recently, Ali Baba's AI application Quark launched an "education program," but some overseas students in China have reported that they are unable to complete identity verification and receive related benefits, sparking a huge controversy. The topic "Quark forgot about us" continues to ferment on a social platform, with Cambodian government ministers, Egyptian lawmakers, and others calling for the platform to provide the same level of service and support to overseas students studying in China as it does to Chinese students. On September 11th, Quark responded by stating that overseas students in China can theoretically complete verification through the Student Academic Information Authentication System to enjoy the same education program benefits as domestic students. However, in practice, delays in entering student information from some universities may result in verification failures. In such cases, it is recommended to contact the relevant department at the university to confirm information updates. Quark also mentioned in their response that they have launched a new verification channel development work for Chinese students studying at overseas universities, as student verification relies on Chinese higher education student information and cannot be completed. They are now making every effort to cover every student and teacher. (Sina Technology)
