Focus on four dimensions: China and other BRICS member countries trade index released for the first time.
On September 9, the General Administration of Customs released the "China and Other BRICS Members Trade Index" for the first time at the 25th China International Fair for Investment & Trade. The index is based on the year of the first meeting of the BRICS leaders in 2009, and it intuitively shows the level of trade development between China and other BRICS member countries from four dimensions: trade volume, trade structure, trade innovation, and trade potential, providing information support for import and export enterprises. Currently, the trade index between China and other BRICS member countries is 301.51, showing a continuous trend of good development. Over the past 16 years, China's import and export value with other BRICS member countries has increased by more than three times, and the proportion of trade with BRICS member countries to China's total import and export volume has continued to rise.
