The 2025 Ocean Cooperation Development Forum opened in Qingdao.

On the morning of September 8, 2025, the Ocean Cooperation and Development Forum opened in Qingdao. The forum was jointly organized by the Shandong Provincial Government and the Ministry of Natural Resources, with the theme "From Blue to Future - Developing Sustainable Ocean Economy, Building a Beautiful and Abundant Ocean", aiming to expand multilateral ocean cooperation, build blue partnerships, and contribute to the construction of a community with a shared future for the ocean. At the opening ceremony, it was announced that the Secretariat of the UN Decade of Ocean Science for Sustainable Development "Coastal City" platform was established, and documents such as the "2025 China Ocean Development Index," "2024 Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Marine Ecological Status Report," and the "Qingdao Youth Ocean Talent Initiative" were released.
