Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited: The average daily turnover in August 2025 was 279.1 billion yuan, an increase of 192% compared to the same period last year which was 95.5 billion yuan. The average daily turnover for the first eight months of 2025 was 248.3 billion yuan, which is a 132% increase from the same period last year which was 106.8 billion yuan. In the first eight months of 2025, there were 59 new listed companies (including 1 company transferred from the GEM to the main board and 1 special purpose acquisition company merger) which is a 37% increase from the same period last year which had 43 companies.
