Reporters learned today that the State Administration for Market Regulation, the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, and the Ministry of Emergency Management jointly issued the "Special Rectification Plan for Key Labor Protection Articles Safety Hazards". The key areas of rectification include product safety performance: problems such as safety helmet impact absorption performance, puncture resistance performance not meeting standard requirements, etc.; problems such as leakage rate, filtration efficiency, protection time, and breathing resistance of respiratory protection equipment such as self-priming filter-type respirators, long tube respirators, self-contained open-circuit compressed air respirators, self-priming filter-type particle respirators, powered air purifying respirators, and mining self-rescuers not meeting standard requirements; problems such as safety protection items for body protection equipment such as flame-retardant clothing, anti-static clothing, chemical protective clothing, welding clothing, and molten metal protective clothing not meeting standard requirements, and exceeding the standard for toxic substances; problems such as dynamic impact of falling protection equipment, corrosion resistance of metal parts not meeting standards, etc.; inspection will focus on key products and major production enterprises; hardware labor protection stores, building materials markets, e-commerce platforms and other places selling labor protection products; inspection will be conducted in key industries such as mining, hazardous chemicals, fireworks, transportation, construction of municipal engineering projects, civilian explosive materials, metal smelting, fishery production, etc., in units using labor protection equipment. Strict supervision will be carried out targeting issues such as product quality in the production sector not meeting national standards or quality standards not being clearly stated; issues such as unlicensed sales, counterfeit products, and loopholes in the review of merchants and quality control of goods by some e-commerce platforms in the circulation sector; and issues in the use sector such as procurement units knowingly buying counterfeit goods, use units not fulfilling their responsibilities in labor protection equipment safety production management, using expired or substandard labor protection equipment, and employees not correctly wearing and using labor protection equipment.
