European countries discuss sending troops to Ukraine. Putin: Foreign military in Ukraine will become a legitimate target.

Ukrainian President Zelensky said on social media on the 4th that after attending an online meeting of the "Voluntary Alliance" in Paris, France, he had a phone call with US President Trump, focusing on discussions on imposing additional sanctions on Russia and protecting Ukrainian airspace. Some European leaders joined the call. In response, Russia said it will never accept foreign troops being deployed in Ukraine. Russian President Putin said on the 5th in Vladivostok that if any country were to send troops to Ukraine, Russia would consider them as targets. Putin said that one of the root causes of the conflict is Western countries sending troops to Ukraine, dragging Ukraine into NATO. He added that if any foreign troops appeared in Ukraine, especially while the conflict was ongoing, Russia would consider them as legitimate targets.
