Ming Pao cited data from the Companies Registry to report that former vice chairman of New World Development, Cheng Zhigang, resigned from his position as a director of the privately held Chow Tai Fook Enterprises on June 30. Cheng Zhigang had also resigned as a director of K11 Group and K11 Concepts under New World Development in November last year. Cheng Zhigang's wife, Cheng Yuya, has also left Chow Tai Fook Education. The report mentioned that since July this year, after leaving the listed New World Development board, the couple has completely relinquished all positions in the Cheng family's companies.
