Norway's electric car buying frenzy continues as Tesla (TSLA.US) tops the August sales charts.

According to the financial news app, based on data from the Norwegian Road Federation (OFV), electric cars accounted for 97% of new passenger car registrations in Norway in August, with Tesla (TSLA.US) models accounting for 22% of new car sales in Norway, while Volkswagen's sales accounted for approximately 13%. Chinese manufacturer BYD's car sales in Norway last month more than doubled, while Toyota and Volvo's monthly sales were much lower than the same period last year.
