The Department of Natural Resources of Gansu Province and the Meteorological Bureau of Gansu Province jointly issued a geological disaster meteorological risk warning at 11:50 on September 1st: From 12:00 on September 1st to 12:00 on September 2nd, there is a high risk of collapse, landslides, debris flows and other geological disasters in Gannan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Lanzhou City, Longnan City, Dingxi City, Tianshui City, Baiyin City, Linxia Hui Autonomous Prefecture, Lanzhou New Area, and Wuwei City.

A jury in the United States ruled that Google LLC has violated the privacy of nearly 100 million Google users who requested their account data not be tracked. The jury, consisting of eight people in the San Francisco federal court, found that Google deceived users in the privacy switch in their account settings, which purportedly could prevent the company from collecting user data in third-party applications. Even if users turned on the privacy switch, Google would still continue to collect data. The jury determined that the company's duplication of their data violated California's privacy law. The jury found Google accountable for invasion of privacy, but not in violation of California's Computer Fraud and Abuse Act.
