The sixth China-New Zealand Ministerial Dialogue on Climate Change was convened, and both sides agreed to enhance cooperation and communication in the fields of carbon markets, climate investment, and financing.
On August 29, the sixth China-New Zealand Ministerial Dialogue on Climate Change was held in Beijing. Minister of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, Huang Runqiu, and New Zealand Minister of Climate Change, Simon Upton, engaged in in-depth dialogue and communication on bilateral cooperation in the climate field, respective domestic climate policies, and multilateral climate processes. Both sides agreed to implement the consensus of the leaders of China and New Zealand, strengthen cooperation in areas such as carbon markets, climate change adaptation, climate finance and investment, methane reduction in agriculture, and renewable energy development, promote the success of the United Nations Climate Change Conference in Madrid, and inject certainty and momentum into the multilateral climate process.
