The Bank of China announced that the group achieved a net interest income of 214.816 billion yuan in the first half of the year, a decrease of 11.944 billion yuan or 5.27% year-on-year. Of this, interest income was 503.331 billion yuan, a decrease of 39.663 billion yuan or 7.3% year-on-year; interest expenses were 288.515 billion yuan, a decrease of 27.719 billion yuan or 8.77% year-on-year.
