In August, Germany's seasonally adjusted unemployment rate was 6.3%, as expected, and unchanged from the previous month. The total number of seasonally adjusted unemployed individuals was 2.957 million, a decrease from the previous month's 2.970 million. The total number of unadjusted unemployed individuals in August was 3.025 million, an increase from the previous month's 2.979 million. The seasonally adjusted number of unemployed individuals decreased by 9,000 in August, below the expected increase of 10,000 and lower than the previous month's increase of 2,000.
